It contains the Middle Santiam River as well as the expansive vistas and old growth forests that all the Doug's wilderness areas have.

The Chimney Peak, McQuade Creek, and Swamp Peak Trails take you through the Wilderness area (Permits Required) and offer intimate as well as expansive views.
